Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: How to run the simulation

There are several ways to move the simulation forward in time. All are done from the garden window.

On the garden window toolbar,

gif/00000004.gif Click on the Week button (with the day of the week) to run the simulation for seven days.
gif/00000005.gif Click on the Month button to run the simulation until the same date next month.
gif/00000006.gif Click on the Day button to run the simulation for one day.
gif/00000007.gif Click on the Year button to run the simulation for 365 days.

Using the Run menu on the garden window,

Choose Go to run without a preset stopping point.
Choose Go for day to run the simulation for one day.
Choose Go for week to run the simulation for seven days.
Choose Go for month to run the simulation until the same date next month.
Choose Go for year to run the simulation for 365 days.
Choose Go for months to run the simulation for any number of months; in the dialog that appears, type the number of months to run, then click OK to run or Cancel to abandon the run.

When the simulation is running, many things in the program are disabled to avoid conflicts. The glove doesn't track your mouse movements; hints and harvest icons don't appear; several menu choices and buttons don't work; and you can't use tools.

Since the simulation has a daily time step, you cannot move ahead any amount of time less than one day. When the simulation is not running, no time is assumed to pass.

To stop the simulation, click anywhere in the garden picture, or if the garden window is collapsed, click on the Week, Month, Day or Year buttons, or choose Stop from the Run menu.
