Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: Soil patch next day functions: transfer organic P with decomposing organic matter

As part of the decomposition process, some organic phosphorus is leached each time it rains (or some snow melts, or there is irrigation) from the standing dead plant matter (in plants) into the fresh organic P in the flat residue in the top soil layer. This parallels the movement of some of the standing dead tissue into the flat residue. All the plants in a soil patch contribute some nutrient through this leaching. In the same way, some of the mulch flat residue and the organic P associated with it moves into flat residue and fresh organic P in the top soil layer.
