Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: Run menu

Use the run menu to move the simulation ahead. To start the simulation without a stop time, choose Go from the Run menu. To run the simulation for a specific length of time, choose Go for day, Go for week, Go for month, or Go for year from the Run menu (or click on the week, month, day, or year buttons on the toolbar). The simulation will automatically stop after the time you chose. To run the simulation for any number of months, choose Go for months, enter a number of months to simulate, and click OK.

When the simulation is running, many things in the program are disabled to avoid conflicts. The glove doesn't track your mouse movements; hints and harvest icons don't appear; several menu choices and buttons don't work; and you can't use tools.

To stop the simulation before the time is up, choose Stop from the Run menu, or click anywhere inside the garden window, or press Escape when the garden window is on top.

The last section of the run menu determines how often the garden redraws all its soil patches and plants, and also how often the browser and graph window update their data as the simulation runs. Daily redraw and Weekly redraw are best when you want to examine processes in detail. Monthly redraw or At stop redraw are best when you have many plants or want time to pass more quickly.
