Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: Plant params erosion group

Crop management factor for water erosion: A coefficient for this plant's ability to hold soil in place when water is running off the soil surface. Ranges from 0.001 to 0.5, with lower values meaning less soil lost.

CVM - Minimum value of C factor for water erosion

Minimum value of eater erosion C factor - This should be adjusted with intercropping or no-tillage simulations to reflect the added cover.

Wind erosion factor for flat residue: The proportion of flat residue from this plant (in the soil patch top layer) that contributes to the lessening of wind erosion by its presence. Roughly an index of the wind resistance of residue from this plant (higher = stiffer). Ranges from 0.2 to 3.5.

Wind erosion factor for standing dead residue: The proportion of standing dead biomass in this plant that contributes to the lessening of wind erosion by its presence. Roughly an index of the stiffness (wind resistance) of the dead parts of this plant (higher = stiffer). Ranges from 0.4 to 3.5.

Wind erosion factor for standing live biomass: The proportion of above-ground live biomass in this plant that contributes to the lessening of wind erosion by its presence. Roughly an index of the stiffness (wind resistance) of the living parts of this plant (higher = stiffer). Ranges from 0.4 to 3.5.

BW1 - Wind erosion factor for standing live

Wind erosion factor for standing live biomass - Based on the Manhattan wind erosion equations or a similar crop used in the Manhattan wind erosion equations.
