Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: minerals


Soil minerals are compounds found in rocks deposited over many millions of years by water, wind, and ice (sedimentary and metamorphic rocks), or cooled from volcanic material (igneous rocks). Many types of mineral deposits are located around the world, and soils vary in part based on these deposits (though climate and vegetation are also factors in the development of soils). When soil rocks are weathered by rain, snow, and wind, minerals are released into the soil solution.
