Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: Weather next day functions: calculate today's mean for maximum temperature, radiation, relative humidity

In most climates periods of rain usually last a few days, as do periods of dryness. This means that a wet day is more likely to be followed by a wet day than it is to be followed by a dry day. The weather simulation uses that observation to simulate realistic weather patterns.

Simulated days are classified as "wet" if there was any precipitation (rain or snow), or "dry" if there was no precipitation. This function makes adjustments for yesterday's wetness (or dryness) to the means of distributions used to generate some of the weather variables. Maximum temperature is higher after a dry day; solar radiation is higher after a dry day; and relative humidity is higher after a wet day. Minimum temperature, wind speed and wind direction are not affected by previous precipitation.
