Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: Plant tool action

The plant tool action creates a new plant from the cultivar chosen in the box on the garden window toolbar after the tool action box.

To plant, pick up a tool that has the plant action (like the seed packet), then click inside any soil patch. A seed will be planted at the depth shown in the last box. Thus if the garden window toolbar boxes read (for example) seed packet, plant, Pea, depth: 0.5 in, this means that you have planted a pea seed one-half inch deep in the soil. If you don't want to choose a soil depth, choose depth: Auto from the list.

As soon as a seed is planted, you will see a plant symbol on the soil patch, if the Options menu choice Draw seeds as symbols is checked. If this option is unchecked, you will see nothing until the seed germinates.

As soon as a seedling is planted, you will see a plant symbol (if the Options menu choice Draw plants as symbols is checked) or a small plant.

To undo planting, choose Undo from the garden window Edit menu.
