Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: saturated conductivity

Saturated conductivity is a measure of how conductive the soil is to the movement of water through it when it is saturated with water. It is the speed at which water movement can take place through the saturated soil. If you think of soil like a sponge, saturated conductivity is how fast the water flows out of the bottom of the sponge as you pour water on the top (once the sponge is full of water).

In this simulation saturated conductivity is input as a parameter and never changed. It influences the amount of percolation and lateral subsurface flow through the soil after it rains.
