Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: Soil patch next day functions: calculate mineralization of organic P

Mineralization of humus P is calculated very simply by assuming a relationship with the mineralization of active organic nitrogen. The division into active to stable organic N is assumed to be duplicated in the organic P for the purpose of mineralization, so in effect an active organic P compartment is generated here "on the fly". (One could argue that it would be easier to understand if this distinction were permanent.) Except for a constant modifier of 1.4, which presumably makes an adjustment for different rates between N and P, the mineralization of organic P is identical in proportion to the mineralization of organic N.

Note that this calculation must be done after calculation of organic N mineralization, and that no organic P mineralization can take place if organic N mineralization is turned off.
