Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: Tool action functions: water


Watering the soil simply saves an amount of water to add to the soil patch. Actual application of the water to the soil patch and percolation through the soil profile doesn't happen until the next day of simulation. Water is applied at the same time that automatically irrigated water is applied during the soil patch next-day routine (right before percolation and lateral flow are calculated).
